Medea Unstrung is a modern day pop opera based on the Greek tragedy Medea. The character Medea, a misguided teenager new to the upper class suburban town of Corinth watches as her boyfriend Jason is swept away by the popular crowd. She is forced to question her identity and her love in a world of high school haves and have-nots. Told through the sideshow, carnival-like lens of teenage Medea with original music influenced by opera, electronica and rock, Medea Unstrung Is a unique modern day musical.
